Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Montreal. You’ll handle everything from standard maintenance to complex diagnostic challenges, working both in-shop and with our mobile service units. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers.
- Use diagnostic software/tools (e.g., Nexiq, DDDL, Cummins Insite).
- Support customers during emergency mobile service calls.
- Maintain accurate service records.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Diesel/Heavy Truck Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Volvo, or similar engines.
- Diagnostic software experience (major asset).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 required, Class 1 an asset).
- Red Seal certification or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
Compensation
💰 Base Pay: $28 – $42 CAD per hour (depending on skill and certification).
⚡ Motivational Percentage (Partnership Model):
Every mechanic at Dovinta receives a percentage of the revenue from jobs completed. This makes your earning potential much higher than a standard hourly wage.
